Crosscut is based in Blue Springs, Missouri, and we serve nine cities across the Kansas City metro — Missouri and Kansas sides both. Below is exactly where we work, what's local to us, and the neighborhoods we know best. If you don't see your city, call anyway — if we can't help, we'll point you to a contractor who can.
Call (816) 651-6828Crosscut Construction is headquartered right here in Blue Springs — the city we call home and the neighborhoods we know block by block. From the older homes around Adams Pointe and Woods Chapel to the newer builds out near Eagle Creek and Lake Tapawingo, we've been crawling through Blue Springs attics and basements for years.
If you live in 64014 or 64015 and your kitchen, bath, deck, or basement needs work, we're almost certainly already on your side of town. Same-day site visits are common for local clients, and our crews carry the city's permits and inspections workflow in their back pocket.
Lee's Summit is our biggest neighbor and a huge chunk of our project list — from older homes near Downtown LS that need careful kitchen and bath remodels, to the newer construction out by Longview Lake and Lakewood that's prime for deck builds and basement finishes.
We know the city's permit office, the typical lot quirks in Raintree Lake and New Longview, and how to schedule around school traffic on the Highway 50 corridor. If you're in Lee's Summit and looking for a contractor who actually shows up, we're a 15-minute drive away.
Independence has some of the most beautiful old housing stock in the metro — and some of the trickiest remodels. We respect what's there: original hardwoods, real plaster walls, the bones of homes built when craftsmen took their time. Our remodels are sympathetic to the era while still delivering modern kitchens, baths, and basement spaces.
We work across all of Independence — from the historic homes near the Square and Truman's neighborhood to the post-war ranches in Englewood and the newer subdivisions out near Drumm Farm and Rockwood. Storm and insurance repair is a big part of our Independence work, especially after spring hail seasons.
Grain Valley is practically next door — most of our Grain Valley clients are referrals from Blue Springs neighbors, and we treat the work the same way: clean jobsites, honest bids, and a crew you can trust around your kids and dogs.
Whether it's a deck off the back of a Cross Creek home, a finished basement in Sni-A-Bar Farms, or a full kitchen remodel near downtown GV, we're set up to handle Grain Valley projects start to finish. Same-day estimates are usually possible for local homeowners.
Oak Grove sits just a short drive east of our Blue Springs shop, and we love the work out there — bigger lots, mature trees, and homeowners who tend to know what they want. Decks, outdoor living spaces, and basement finishes are our most common Oak Grove projects.
Storm and insurance repair work is steady out here too. We handle the adjuster paperwork, document the damage thoroughly, and put your home back to right — whether it's roofing, siding, or full interior reconstruction after water damage.
Raytown is full of solid post-war homes that are perfect candidates for the kind of work Crosscut does best — kitchen and bath remodels that update the spaces people actually live in, without erasing the character that made you buy the house in the first place.
We're also a good fit for Raytown's basement finishes. A lot of these homes were built with full poured basements just sitting empty downstairs — we'll turn that into a family room, a guest suite, or a home gym, done to code with proper egress.
Kansas City is a big city with a lot of very different neighborhoods, and we work all over the metro — from the bungalows of Brookside and Waldo, to the older homes of Hyde Park and Westport, to the newer construction out toward Martin City and Lake Lotawana.
Our sweet spot in KC proper is residential remodel work that respects the neighborhood. We're not the right call for a downtown high-rise gut, but if you've got a kitchen, bath, deck, or basement in Brookside, Waldo, Hyde Park, Volker, or the east-side neighborhoods — that's exactly the work we love to do. We pull our own permits and know the city's residential code office.
We cross state lines for Overland Park clients — and we cross them often. OP homeowners tend to expect a higher caliber of finish work, and that's exactly the bar we like working at. Custom cabinetry, stone counters, real tile work, properly framed walls. No shortcuts.
We're set up with Kansas licensing and insurance, and we know the OP permit process. Most of our Overland Park work is high-end kitchen and bath remodels and big outdoor-living builds — covered decks, screened porches, outdoor kitchens with built-in grills.
Lenexa is the far end of our regular service area, but well worth the drive — it's a city full of well-cared-for homes and homeowners who appreciate quality construction. We do a lot of basement finishes and deck builds in the newer Lenexa subdivisions, plus kitchen and bath remodels in the older neighborhoods near Old Town Lenexa.
Like Overland Park, we're properly licensed and insured for Kansas-side work. Bids may take an extra day for Lenexa projects so we can scout the route and account for the drive, but our pricing reflects the actual work — not 'far away contractor' markup.
